After opening up the season with three straight road games, the Battle Creek Central Bearcats finally get to play basketball in front of a friendly crowd.

The Bearcats (2-1) will host the Gull Lake Blue Devils (2-0) on Friday at Battle Creek Central High School. This marks the second season inside the new multi-million dollar facility.

Head Coach Greg Williams said that the historic Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse will host games when a big crowd is expected, such as during the annual Holiday Tournament, which will be held December 27-28.

Prior to the boys taking the court at 7:30 pm, the Battle Creek Central Ladycats (0-3) will also play Gull Lake (2-2). That game is set to start at 5:45 pm.

I will be at both games, covering them for the BC Current. Check back for that.

Tickets are available at the high school.
